You COULD try a reverse half-up ponytail. It's kind of a new look. I saw it in Cosmo, and I think it's really cute. What you do is, leave the top half of your hair loose, and tie the bottom half. It really softens facial features, and looks great on just about everyone. I'd do it myself, but my hair is too short.

thinning out your hair is VERY easy. If you go to any regular department store, such as wal-mart, you can find THINNING SCISSORS in with their hair products. Just use these scissors to thin out your hair, but only do it on the bottom part of your hair (the hair closest to your head by your neck). Works great and doesn't ruin your "style"!

having your hair layered is a start, but also ask your stylist to use thinning shears, or a razor...I had very thick hair, and about 1 1/2 half ago I got the layers and she used a razor first and now once a month I get the layers trimmed and she uses thinning shears to keep it looking good!!!!

I think it would look good with long layers on the top and tapered at the neck. Just ask for that, they will know what you mean. I was a cosmotolgist before I became a paramedic...seriously. That way you could still keep some length for the shaggy style thats in for guys, but it would be off your neck so you would look like you had a specific style.

okay, I do not have any pics of this but I do my hair like this alot when I go out and it is waaay cute. Okay, get a bunch of those little tinie rubber bands and just start piecing off your hair and puting each piece in a little messy bun, do this around your head so it is taking up most of the back of your head and there are no bald spots. some of the hair will come out and be a bit curly. tie a head band around your head. and your done! it is soooo cute. you should try loreal color pulse...It's really great! But it's more permanent then temporary...and don't contain harmful ingredients ammonia or peroxide.

I have it and I absolutely love it! My hair is medium thick and wavy and it works. but you have to clip your hair up on top of your head and do it in three layers, but it only takes about 10 minutes. definitely one the best cheap one.
