Strongest shampoo that can fade dyed hair?

I dyed my naturally medium brown hair black a month ago with a semi-permanent dye. It has faded a great amount. Now it is a darker brown with some lighter highlights. I want to completely fade the dye. What are some strong shampoos that I can buy from the store other than Prell. I can't find that brand anywhere.

Strongest shampoo that can fade dyed hair?

Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo is pretty strong.

Try simple dishwashing liquid. It's very strong and strips the hair quickly. Just make sure to follow with a good conditioner.

Strongest shampoo that can fade dyed hair?

pert plus is a good one, very reccomended..

Strongest shampoo that can fade dyed hair?

Try using Sunlight dish soap. It should work. Its what we recommend our clients use to remove some hair color. You probably won't be able to get all the color out, but that's the consequence of dying your hair black.

Other than that, I don't know what else to tell you. Don't try applying color over it because that won't work. You may have to make an appointment at a salon to have it fixed or you can just wait it out and hope that all the color actually comes out.

Strongest shampoo that can fade dyed hair?

The last time I had a similar experience I went to the beauty supply store and they had me buy and 'Ion' shampoo and told me to do shampoo packs (shampoo and leave on for 30 minutes) for a few times... it did help the fading process but was really drying on the hair and scalp... moisturize well (mayonaise is my favorite for a really deep scalp/hair moisturizer).

Cheers.

Strongest shampoo that can fade dyed hair?

There is not many "over the counter" products that can do that. I worked in a salon for many years and honestly the best thing to do is go to a salon and ask them to do a color stripper. You can also go to a beauty supply store and ask them if the carry any products like that. Just be careful because you can really mess uo your hair with these products if you are not careful.

Strongest shampoo that can fade dyed hair?

I talked to a worker in Sally (the hair product wholesale store) and she recommended Head %26amp; Shoulders. Apparently it lightens the hair.

Strongest shampoo that can fade dyed hair?

try a really good draindruff shampoo like head %26amp; shoulders . you could also try the blond shampoo from john frida , it gives nice highlights to your hair (=

I DONT know WHAT to do WITH my hair!!!!?

i have medium brown hair and a while ago i got all over light sandy brown/blond highlights. its grown out a few inches and my roots are big. i blowdry and flatiron my hair every day so my hair is fryed from diying it, drying it, and flat ironing it. i want to get it diyed a rich brown color allover with sandy brown highlights, but im scared that it will damage my hair even more. so i need to know weather or not to do this, and if not what to do. and if you know of any good products to use.

I DONT know WHAT to do WITH my hair!!!!?

Cut off ALL of the damage off, only way to get rid of it.

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Sunsilk Hydra TLC it leaves my hair soft and managable.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

Deep condition twice a week

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water.

When using a conditioner leave on for about 1-3 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to have shiny hair

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

If you dye your hair do it atleast once a year, hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill your hair.

All of these products work great on dry hair:

How to get straight hair:

http://herbalessences.com/us/get_the_loo...

I DONT know WHAT to do WITH my hair!!!!?

OK, take some egg yolk and put it in your hair when you take a shower, trust me, it makes your hair A LOT softer.

I DONT know WHAT to do WITH my hair!!!!?

my name is sandy HEY!! lol most likely its the iron

I DONT know WHAT to do WITH my hair!!!!?

mayonaise slathered into hair and wrapped in a towel overnight until the hair is manageable again--then one change at a time.

I DONT know WHAT to do WITH my hair!!!!?

hey! don't worry that's exactly how my hair was last week [ dyed it last thursday ] actually! it was so fryed because i do the same as you [ blow dry %26amp; flat iron ] and had blonde highlights. i dyed it a dark brown and it's so much healthier already! so if i was you i would definitely do it. oh and good products the v.i. straightening ceramic [ can get at Sally's ] is great for when you straighten your hair it actually keeps it from frying %26amp; makes it look better %26amp; straighter! some days [ like lazy couch potato days wear your yesterday hair... don't blow dry or straighten ] also a good thing to do is wash your hair *every other night* washing your hair everynight drys it out. good luck %26amp; i hope all goes well! =D

I DONT know WHAT to do WITH my hair!!!!?

Stop the blowdrying and flat ironing for a while and have all the dry hair, mostly the tips trimmed. You can also try hair conditioning treatments at your salon. I like to use a self warming oil by Tresemme that I buy at Wal-Mart. I shampoo my hair once and then I apply the oil, it warms up in your hair and just massage it for about a minute. Then don't rinse just apply shampoo, lather and rinse and use a conditioner. For shampoo I like Herbal Essences, it's a blue bottle. It smells really good and leaves your hair very soft. Skip blowdrying for a while and your hair will become healthier. Then you can dye it again.

I DONT know WHAT to do WITH my hair!!!!?

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but you'll probably have to cut off at least a few inches of your hair, or more, to get rid of the excessive damage. If your ends are split and truly fried, I hate to say it, but nothing will bring them back to a healthy state.

Try to stop or minimize ANY heatstyling to your hair because that damages it further. Try to only heat style once a week at the MOST and work with your hair's natural texture. Also, make sure you use a heat protectant before you flat iron it.

Before you get it dyed again, you need to nurse the remainder of your hair back to health.

Get a good, salon-quality moisturizing shampoo and moisturizing conditioner designed for damaged/color treated hair. Frederick Fekkai Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner for Dry and Color Treated Hair is very good %26amp; always recieves rave reviews.

Next, you need to get a good leave-in conditioner and deep conditioner. You can try Infusium 23 Original Formula Pro-Vitamin Leave-in Conditioner. You can try Motions CPR Conditioning Treatment or Ion Repair Solutions Effective Instensive Therapy Treatment as a deep conditioner.

1-3 Times a week, take the deep conditioner of your choice and saturate your damp hair with it and leave in for 20-30 minutes. Rinse out with warm water and rinse with cold water to seal the cuticle and add shine.

Everyday, when you get out of the shower, squeeze excess water out of your hair with a towel. Then spray in the leave-in conditioner and comb through with a wide-tooth comb. Do this everyday to help prevent split ends and protect from everyday damage.

Try switching out your brushes. Buy either a boar bristle brush or a wide-tooth comb, preferably both.

Only shampoo hair 1-3 times a week to prevent your already damaged hair from drying out even more. You have to keep as much as the natural oils as possible. When your in the shower and you put in your daily conditioner, comb it through with a conditioner and leave in for 10 minutes before washing it out. And again, finish with a cold water rinse to seal the cuticle and help the shine.

You can also have a weekly or bi-weekly hot oil treatment. You can buy one from a beauty supply store or make on with things you probably have around the kitchen. If you decide to make your own, here's what I do...

Fill a saucepan with water and boil it. Then fill up a cup with olive oil. Take the pan off the stove, and wait for a minute to cool down just slightly. Then put the cup inside the pan to heat up the oil inside, but make sure you don't get any water in the cup. Saturate your hair with the oil, wrap in a shower cap, and leave in for 30 minutes. Then, without washing out the oil, put in a deep conditioner, and put the shower cap on for another 20 minutes. When the time is up, wash VERY well with warm water. You can use diluted shampoo (a bit of shampoo mixed with warm water) to give your hair a good clean. Put deep conditioner back in your hair, and leave conditioner in hair for 20 minutes. Rinse out with warm water and finish with a cold water rinse. You hair will be very shiny, soft, and manageable.

Also, try improving your hair from the inside out by taking a multivitamin, and drinking at least 8-10 cups of water daily. Eat a diet rich in protein and Vitamin K and exercise regularly to increase bloodflow.

After about 2-3 months your hair should be in MUCH better condition, and it would be safe to dye it. I wouldn't reccomend highlights unless you REALLY want to because your hair will get damaged again by this. But as long as you continue to take good care of you hair, it shouldn't be a big problem.

Any suggestions for layered hair with side swept bangs?

I have medium, boring hair.

I cannot leave it down without straightnening it.

It gets really frizzy.

I dont want anything emo....just something cute.....

instead of my regular boring hair. :(

PLEASE HELP!

Any suggestions for layered hair with side swept bangs?

this is my favorite haircut

not you could wear it un 'spiked'

but i love this haircut

http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/...

Any suggestions for layered hair with side swept bangs?

get a round vent brush, the kind you can use with a blow dryer

then just take each layer when your hairs wet and blow dry each layer individually while spinning the bursh under

Any suggestions for layered hair with side swept bangs?

My friend has a little longer than shoulder length hair and she just got it layered with side swept bangs too. She still is able to wear it in a high ponytail and stuff. Today she but her bangs in a clip on the side [matched her hair so it was like invisible] and put her hair over it down. It was really pretty. Having frizzy hair is such a pain, usually at salons or something they have products for that.

Something I use which has been helping is called Triple Moisture Healing Shine Serum. [most likely can get it anywhere like longs]

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

i have medium brown hair naturally, but i dyed it about a month ago to jet black. i was wondering if i could dye it back to my natural hair color without damaging it to much or should i just let it grow out. thanks

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

The artificial colour will have to be removed first with bleach, a colour alone will not lift it out. Going to a medium brown can be done but I wouldn't try to do it at home. You will have to lift past the stage of colour you want, then put a medium brown over it.

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

yes you can just go up one shade every 3 weeks and put protectant in it

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

Best thing to do is to let it grow out naturally but if you just can't wait, go see a beautician to make sure you get the least amount of damage.

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

The only way to get black hair out is to bleach it, but it is so damaging. My hair was black and I bleached it out, it damaged my hair so much I had to cut off four inches of my hip-length hair.

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

You can't dye it back. Black doesn't come out. You have to go to a salon and have it stripped.

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

sure, anything is possible

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

Let it grow out.

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

Go 2 the middle of Coatsville. In the getto and the go to Rusti's. Yes he is Gay but he knows all the things about hair and he will know what 2 do. He has a lot of hair die, rinces, wigs, and pony tails 2 match any color of hair. They also have earings there that u can get your name on.

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

Hair color fades with time and although chances are your black dye, has a blue tone to it to get the effect, which is hard to revert back to a more subtle brown with reddish tones, it is possible but you have to wait it out without getting impatient or frustrated.

Black hair is harsh on some people and more shocking than you may had believed before you actually did it.

It will wear down eventually, I suggest washing it a little more often than you would with a clarifying shampoo that will naturally strip the color out over time. Making sure to condition too.

Re-color it after a few weeks of heavy washing and gradually, the harshness of the black dye will succumb to the more warm tones of the brown. You may have to go through the process twice. Like over 4 months dying it twice for the desired effect.

DO NOT STRIP IT! DO NOT BLEACH IT! These people have NO IDEA what they are talking about! You do not go from black to brown by bleaching! It is harsh, damaging and VERY unnecessary!

Just be patient or else you'll end up looking like Gerard Way!

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

let it grow

now what to do while waiting, first wait some weeks so that the black has faded a bit, then die it with a color just a degree lighter than ur natural hair color but don't touch the roots

i mean the black part only (this why one degree lighter than the initial color so that it will show on black)

there would be a slight difference, but u will fasten it but cutting a bit of ur hair after few weeks and put some natural oils (like almond, even olive) each 10 days it will make it lighter and at the same time it will make it shine and fights the dryness caused by the tint (just put a little and brush ur hair, if u put a lot u will have problems washing it!)

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

the dye will wash out ,after so many washings ,dont color hair again ,can weaken hair or fallout, not to mention it will burn your scalp.

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

I'd advise you go and see an actual professional colourist who will advise upon your best options. All I could say is that they may break the colour up with streaks of a lighter colour, and do this over the entire head until it looks lighter.

Can i dye my hair back to brown from black?

yes if u permenantly dye it. or if u bleach it blonde first and then you put a brown a rinse/semi-permenant hair dye on top of it but maybe u should see a hair stylist

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

And what if you do it once a week ? (for a Guy with medium length hair )

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

If ur only washing ur hair once a week u should give it 1 really good cleanse or 2 if u like a lather. Using a good shampoo helps ie Paul Mitchell tea tree special shampoo or nioxin deep cleanser. The first shampoo u do is tha main one in which u r cleansing tha scalp of any build up and residue. If u feel after that it is not feeling soo fresh and clean do a second cleanse but with half tha shampoo u used for tha first cleanse

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

I do mine ever other day.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

I do mine every morning... from a guy with short hair

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

I wash my hair every day - but that's because I use quite a lot of product in it. Sometimes at the weekend I will miss a day of washing but certainly not in the week for going to work!

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

i wash my hair everyday otherwise my hair gets greasy

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

Unless you have serious dry hair/scalp problems, a guy should wash their hair every time they shower or bathe.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

well i heard the more you wash your hair the worse it is for it!!!!!! but i guess it depends on your hair......some people have really greesy hair and wash it everyday personally i try to wash it a less a poss as my hair is dry and frail.......i think maybe you should shampoo it about 3 times a week and condition it twice........

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

i have quite thick hair so i can get away with washing it every other day, sometimes 3 days if its a weekend and i cant be bothered to do!

But i think you should be washing it more than once a week, it must look quite greasy after a few days!!

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

Hardly ever.Bugs can't live in greasy dirty hair.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

I have thick long hair and dont have products in my hair most often so I can go 5 days. With products, 2 days most.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

EVERY DAY, VOSENE REGULAR (original) I HAVE GREASY HAIR

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

i wash my hair every 2nd day, washing it everyday can strip it of natural oils and make it very weak (i know this from experience, i use to wash it everyday until it started breaking off) and using too much product will ruin your hair too.

but i'd wash it more than once a week, i guess it depends what you're comfortable with.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

I do mine every day and I have short hair. If you are comfortable with a week then that's OK, but if someone has said you need to do it more often because it looks dirty, then you probably do.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

I have short hair and I wash my hair twice a week. It is not good to wash the hair every day because you wash away excess oils that is necessary to keep the hair healthy.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

i wash my hair every other day

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

I wash mine every morning. It's not greasy or dirty, but I like it to feel fresh every day. I use lots of conditioner as well.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

every day in the shower once a week yuk!

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

Wash it whenever you feel it needs it. I wash my hair every other day as i feel it gets greasy if i leave it for longer but if youre hair goes for longer then no worries.

How often should you wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo ?

I can wash my hair every second day and it always looks clean, if i leave it for 3 days without washing, it still looks fine but my scalp feels a little scratchy. I guess its personal choice although i have heard that washing it every day strips away natural oils..
