You could either go for a CHI or a Titanium Tools brand. CHI's are very costly, but they work extremely well, last for a long time, and do a lot less damage to hair than most. Titaniumt tools work super well and cost less, but they do strip hair of some natural oils (if you use too high of a heat level) and smell kind of funny (just at first). I would go with the CHI, because it is worth the price, because you probably won't need a new one for at least a good five years. Oh, and whatever you do, make sure to use a deep conditioner one to two times a week and use heat-protection products, when using a straightener excessively, because if not, your hair can be really damaged. I would DEFINETLEY choose GHDs. I found these were the best straighteners by far and they use them in all of the salons (this is why when you get your hair cut it stays straight for days until you wash it). They are expensive (Around 鎷?0) but excellent.

The best thing you can do is get a Chi Flat Iron. They are a little pricy, but I have natrually wavy hair, and I use it everyday and I love how my hair looks. I don't think that products work so well, unless you are getting it professionally straightened at a salon (which is even more expensive and does not last long at all). There is a product that I use to spray my hair with before I flat iron, but I dont know if it is available everwhere, but any salon will have some kind of product for you to use. The point of this product is to protect your hair from the iron so it doesn't fry. I hope this helps you!

The absoloute best one after buying about 10 has been the maximus it is about 100 dollars but well worth it u can buy it at linen n things or their website, ebay or maximus hair straightner in a searh engine you'll love it. set it on 3 or 4 if you have colored or permed hair. I do have chemically treated hair I put it on 3 works great I would not for any reason go above 5 make sure you use some kind of oil to protect your hair. I use fruit oil from garnier fructius.

honestly, I use an iron. Like, a clothes iron. It gets your hair straighter and done faster than any straightner. I've tried a chi, conair, and many others, clothes iron is best by far. All you do is lay down either on the floor or wherever, and have a trusted friend or parent iron your hair out. Start with the bottome layers first and work your way up. : )

i recently got some GHD's for xmas and have to say I'm not that impressed, my Remington wet to straight ones worked just as good, if not better! (and i didn't have to mess about blow dry my hair before hand)

GHD's are really over rated, i think when they first came out they were probably really good, but now everyone uses ceramic plates.

Another good choice is Charles Worthington as you can choose the temperature yourself (if i remember correctly i think it goes up to 220c).

It is worth spending 鎷?0+ on straighteners as the more expensive the are the kinder they tend to be to your hair!

Make sure you use a heat protection spray (Toni %26amp; Guy do a fab on and it smells of gucci rush!yum!) before you straighten

Use an intensive moisturiser once a week (more if you straighten your hair alot) and dont hold the plates on your hair for too long!
