Does anybody know a way for me to dye my hair with natural products?

I have medium brown hair and i want to dye my hair blonde. i dont want to use those harmful hairdyes that you buy at the store because they are damaging to your hair. so i want to know if there is a way to dye my hair with natural stuff, thanks =)

i work for an aveda support salon, which mean all we sell is aveda products. aveda is one of the healthiest products you can use on your hair because they are made our of 90% plant and flower extracts. unfortunately though, when you are going blonde, a little damage may occur, but if your hair is completely natural right now, we call it virgin hair, lol, it shouldn't experience too much damage. try an aveda salon.

OH YEAH do not use hemp or henna. it is a common misconception that these products are natural. they are not. henna is deisgned to color your hair red. you can't get it out of your hair. they have metallic compounds in them which was HORRIBLE for your hair. trust me. do not buy them. spend the money and go to a salon or i can guarantee you won't be satisfied.

You can try lemon, for blonde highlights, or you can try hemp powder. you can buy them from stores selling natural products, they're supposed to be natural and not harmful to your hair at all. Just google hemp hair color, you can even order on line.

Its a misconception that hair color is bad for your hair. If you use professional bleach and/or color there are added nutrients. Hair color has come a long way from the dark ages. Lemon juice and henna will cause damage.

Henna is one of the worst things you can use on your hair. The only way to remove henna safely is to grow it out, you can not use any type of color remover, bleach or hair color over henna or you risk losing your hair. Lemon juice is highly acidic and can also cause damage. The best way is to use professional color.

It's hard to tell without looking at your face, but I'd say whatever flatters your face the most. Layers are a good way to go, and I would personally leave your hair curly. Whatever makes you feel confident and looks flattering on you, as well as being able to take care of, will work. And it helps to get your hair cut a day or two before school when the cut is still fresh.

section by section starting at the crown with a fine tooth comb (or slender bristle brush).

take the comb, hold up section, start an inch or so above the scalp, and brush down towards scalp. do it a second time a bit above the teased hair, then again. 3 times only! or you'll do damage (and look too frizzy).

do it on the underside that's not showing.

when done with all sections, gently smooth top with a bristle brush to hide tease.

hairspray. done.

I do mine like how you want it, and i have medium length THICK hair. I use a comb(make sure it's completely straightened and blowdryed),take a small section of hair hold it outwards and brush it towards my scalp(backbrushing), then add hairspray. If you add hairspray beforehand, it'll be harder to fix it if it doesnt come out how you want.

I also use spray gel as a finish.

no you can't permanently dye your hair black, but go to a beauty supply store like Sally's and use Wella Charm hair dye use 40 volume developer. this will make the color stay in longer but you will have to retouch. black is a very hard color get out or grow out so make sure this is what you really want to do.

Do NOT do it! It's a nightmare to lift if you don't like it. The red faded because the molecules of the colour are the largest, therefore they fade quicker. The best way to see how you look in black hair is a wig. I think you need to have your hair layered. Do not cut it short. You also need to go to a beauty counter and have them do a nice makeup for you. You may end up purchasing something, but you would feel better about yourself. It is tough raising children, but I am sure you are a great mother and your children are very lucky, but you need to feel good about yourself too.

if you have any natural wave in your hair you could try scrunching it with some gel after you towel dry your hair. it's quick! you could also think about bangs if you don't already have some...that would be a nice easy change and swept to the side is a youthful style. you could also try clipping it up in a big clip if you don't want it to get in your way. headbands are easy too. hope this helps! :)

thats definiltey not true shorter doesnt mean fatter. i mean if you have "after-meat" from the birth of your four children...just lose some of the weight or at least try. then just put on some nice natural looking makeup nothing heavy. get some nice clothes. now remember....just because you have 4 kids DOESNT mean you cant look good so dont tell yourself that. and just basically highlight your hair or straighten it...or you could crimp it...crimped always looks nice...or you could curl your hair. if you have loong hair...CUT IT...really long hair doesnt look nice sometimes and sometimes there just needs to be a change. short can be cute too. i know that caucasians s=grow their hair fast and if your hair is long trust me and cut it. here...why dont you look at some magazines abd fet hairstyles from famous ppl and try to imitate that from someone professional who can do it for you. you could get a color like beyonce's color...her blondish type of hair and have it like hers especially when hers is curled. i would send u the pic but i dont know how to lol k byee!%26lt;3

Yes, the highlights are permanent because the acid in the lemon juice stripped the color out of your hair. They will fade sooner than dyed ones, however, so you might just want to be patient and see how it turns out in a couple of weeks.

Hahaha. If there's one thing all guys should know it's to not let females anywhere near their hair. They do all sorts of strange things to it because it's "cute". No offence girls, that's just the way it is.

And to answer your question, yes, it's permanent. Lemon juice is acidic and it basically bleaches your hair. My sister did the same thing to me a few years ago and I ended up dying my hair to cover it. I regreted that even more than the highlights and ended up shaving it all off. That was years ago, though. Now it's past my shoulders and I don't let girls do things to it.

I hope you learned something from this, enjoy looking like someone from a boyband ;)

if you want something fun....i would try a red, blue or black, die on the tips of your hair and bangs. i used to have bangs and my hair is the same length as yours(also blonde). i tried it and it thought it was awsome.i used temporary die of course so if i didnt like it it would come out in a few showers...i would reccomend the same....have fun and good luck

Everyone's hair is different! "Average" hair grows a half an inch a month.

It might lighten your hair a little, but will also damage it. If you have dyed it so many times, it is already pretty damaged--imagine how dry and brittle it will be after a few strong doses of citric acid. Your highlights are the most damaged part of your hair already.

well i mean the most reasonable answer is to die your hair permanently medium blonde like it already is you can find this at Sally's beauty supply store and get jazzing! its the best i use it all the time and not to be rude or anything why would she do that i mean it was way too out of there! well good luck!

For a start lemon jucie damages your hair soo much you wouldnt believe.. you need to either wait for it to grow out or die over it but because sections of your hair are lighter when you go to dye they will still be lighter then the rest of your hair..i think it would be better to leave as it will fade soon X

French braids are really good if youre doing a sport. I used to do gymnastics and thats what i usually did for meets. You can do a single braid or two (so that way you have options) its sort of hard to learn to do to youself so you may need someone to help you do it.

To be honest, when I totally screwed up dying my own hair I decided the best thing to do was to call the manufacturer of the hair color product to help me figure out what to do to fix the mess. I used Clairol and called them and they were very very helpful. I don't know what hair dye you used, but I suggest that you call them before you do anything further to your hair and ask them for suggestions. I'm sure you will get some good suggestions here, but i would call the manufacturer first and then go from there.

Try doing an increasing number of plaits (sorry...braids!) until you get the effect you like the best. I would have thought two would not be too dramatic. If you start them as close to the top of your head as possible then you will avoid the annoying straight bit at the top. A French plait is a good way to achieve this and I find that adds a nice bit of volume too. I find the more plaits the merrier (though I can't do French plaits sadly) but then I do like huge hair! I would try four; perhaps experiment when you're not going anywhere the next day :) try 'looser' braids for a less frizzy effect.

You should dry your hair after your shower and put it into two french braids. To avoid the overly crimped look, don't braid them too tight. You can experiment with it to see how tight you should make it for however curly looking you want it. Best of luck!

I like to have curly hair sometimes too. With my hair, all I have to do is put it in two braids overnight after a shower. It totally works.( but after your shower, brush it first so it will be better in the morning. Then put in nice tight braids.) Sleep with them in and then in the morning take them out but don't brush them. It will look UGLY. (that is what the brushing before thing was for.) Good luck with your hair!

I would suggest that you try Sally's Beauty Supply they caters to the public and licensed stylists. To lighten your natural shade you could use "one 'n only" Color Fix by Jheri Redding (yellow box), it worked well for me just follow the instructions. Also, I been using "Color Brilliance permanent hair color - the color comes out looking so natural, choose the color closest to your avatar's hair color (like a medium golden blonde, or whatever)? Also, "Ion" Developer #20 is what was recommended to me, my natural hair color is medium golden brown and I lighten and colored it a (light copper blonde) it's great!

With circular faces you need volume on the sides and top to make the face look slimmer and lots of feathery whisp around the face but this takes a nice slightly coarse texture to really look good. I you want a little more volume to your hair rinse it in leftover night beer and use gel to style it also putting your head down and blow drying. You can also get extentions to make your hair thicker, beauty schools are cheaper that salons. And you can go to a salon that has the computerized styling program that will show you different styles and colors for your face shape, it's fun try it !!

Try growing out your bangs and letting them go diagonally across your forehead. This will let you either put them around your ear to hold them across your forehead or if they get long enough you can put them back with your hair. I have medium length hair with choppy layers and a full fringe; I usually wear it straight but messy but would like to go a bit more elegant for the prom, so have booked a hairdressers appointment!

Here's some of the things that I do with my hair (I've got long hair with a lot of layers):

1. Pull your hair into a little ponytail and leave a little of the "bang" (shortest layer in the front) out

2. Flat iron your hair, side part it and pull a piece from the front of the larger side into a little clip

3. Straighten your hair, pull half of it up, and make the hair that's down into loose curls

4. Pull all of your hair into a pony tail and put a thin, simple headband in it

5. Put all but a small piece of your hair into a ponytail, leave the small piece (it should be on one side) down

6. Flat iron your hair and put a large head band in the middle of your head

other than that get curlers really really hot and then roll your hair and let the curlers cool for at least 30 mins to let the curl set......or use a curling iron and spray each curl with hair spray after each curl.....

you shouldn't be afraid of tints as they are the tool designed for the task... I do not recommend Henna unless you NEVER plan to use any product with ammonia while you have it in your hair

if you really must use natural products your first obstacle is your color level being so dark

you can roughen up your cuticle (outside layer) by using lemon juice and then why not just apply red food coloring or Koolaid (neither of which are natural)? pomegranates are a really heavy stain too ( I have seen it used on clean, dried hair and wrapped up in plastic and left for 1 hour with heat applied by hair dryer)

although I really suggest that you use a professional product... you don't have to do an all over tint. there are plenty of home highlighting kits in different colours so you can contol just how much color you want

if you have a stylist, ask her what kind of style you can get that you can do alot of different stuff with. I know you said you don't want it cut, but maybe if you get it trimmed to an actual style you could probably do more with it.

See a stylist every 4-6 weeks while you grow it. Explain to her what your end goal look is that you're trying to grow it to and she can help you look good during the process. If you just grow it without shaping it into cool looks while it grows it'll usually get either poofy or it'll start looking like a mullet. She can also recommend the right products to use while you grow it and what to use once it's the length you want.

I have medium lenght hair and I've just done my Junior Certificate exams(i'm irish)And when the results come out my mam is gonna give me money so I wanted to change my hair(in a salon).

My hair is naturally brown but I have it highlighted blonde.I want to maybe put pink chunks or pink streaks or just pink underneath my fringe or something but i'm worried that in time,when its washed the pink will fade and mix in with the blonde and won't wash out completely and I can imagine this will not look very UGLY lol.But i'm really keen on the idea.So I want to make sure it will turn out alright and as i'm 15 I haven't got the money to be getting my hair toned or anything if the pink goes wrong.

well..i have natural blonde hair and i did it with the home stuff and it didnt run to the rest of my hair it just faded and it looked bad. and i know ppl who got it professionally done and it still faded and didnt look that great. i say get the fake hair clips. i know ppl with those and i never knew it!! and if you really dont like the look you just take em out..they look soo real

I've been hearing this one alot. :) I would suggest finding a good mouse to work through your hair every morning after your shower, and looking for a conditioner that keeps the moisture you need locked in. If that doesn't work, you may want to consider chemical straightening. It will probably last for 2-2 1/2 months. Expensive, but if its worth it to you...try it!

don't brush it or comb it unless you are going to straighten it

start styling it when its wet, not damp

use a anti frizz cream, leave in conditioner, and a little gel

scrunch in hair, airdry or diffuse

should help a little!

Do you use conditioner? Try some mousse/ Hair spray... Oh Garnier Fructis conditioner thing.. It comes in a stout jar and you wet your hair, apply it to the hair, going towards the roots and let it sit for ten minutes, then rinse it out, comb/ blow dry and you'll see significant results in softness, less frizziness and wow I love that stuff... It gets rid of dead hair. sometimes a hair cut works, but I don't think that you want your hair to get shorter, you want to show it off!!! There's also probably more expensive brands that you can get that reduce frizziness, take a look down the aisle at your shopping center one day and see what's out there that will also fit your budget... It'll be fun.

What works best for me when my hair gets Frizzy, go to the store and get Tressema ( I know I spelt that wrong) Frizz ease it's a white cream the you just put in your hair and comb through. I get best results when I use it and my hair is wet.
