one of the easiest ways i get my hair to curl (and stay curled cause my hair doesnt hold curl well) is to french braid my hair after i wash it at night...let it dry til the next morning and when you take it out....you have easy simple curly hair....I generally do two braids so its smaller curls but if you want larger curls do one braid.....a normal braid works well also if you cant french braid....

other than that get curlers really really hot and then roll your hair and let the curlers cool for at least 30 mins to let the curl set......or use a curling iron and spray each curl with hair spray after each curl.....

Depends on your hair type. If you have wavy hair, some product that doesn't require heat could work. I use Advanced Group Re:coil and it works pretty good, I just scrunch it in.
