keep in mind ill bleach my medium brown hair so it has to sit well on top of the possible bright orange/blonde

I would suggest that you try Sally's Beauty Supply they caters to the public and licensed stylists. To lighten your natural shade you could use "one 'n only" Color Fix by Jheri Redding (yellow box), it worked well for me just follow the instructions. Also, I been using "Color Brilliance permanent hair color - the color comes out looking so natural, choose the color closest to your avatar's hair color (like a medium golden blonde, or whatever)? Also, "Ion" Developer #20 is what was recommended to me, my natural hair color is medium golden brown and I lighten and colored it a (light copper blonde) it's great!

I like the first one. thats my hair color and my freind has brown hair and she got her hair just like the first one and it looked pretty darn good!
