Hair wax/pomade stuff problems, ahh!?

I have medium-longish hair and I got bored earlier and tried to gel it, turns out the stuff I used was this: http://www.ballbeauty.com/black_and_whit...

I can't get it out, any ideas?

dish soap. if its for african american textured hair then its a little oily for caucasion hair. but use a small amount of dish soap it wont hurt but will get it clean.

this stuff is disgusting... WASH WASH WASH!

Shampoo didn't work?

Once I put oil in the bath and my hair soaked it all up. Shampoo would not get the stuff out so I used dishwashing soap ( the liquid kinds like dawn) and that worked. Try it.

next time you have trouble removing anything, you need to think what it will mix with and then use something you know will remove the other.

for example:

if you get tar on you or clothes. you know that washing up liquid will remove greasy things (margarine) and that tar will emulsify with margarine

rub some marge into it so it mixes, then wash with washing up liquid, if garment will be ruined by marg then you have to trash it anyway

no offence meant, but has a hairdresser that looks terrible

i would suggest you stop using the product or drastically cut down on how much you use, wash condition well and have it trimmed regular

use fairy liquid. first while your hair is dry to emulsify it, then rinse off and wash once more. finally, use your normal shampoo. that should work.
