Do you want a messy bun or a neat bun. If neat tie in a high pony tail, twist hair around the base of the hair tie...if you want a messy up do look, gather hair from the crown of your head and work around your face and gather all together, tie hair all together so that wisps go all over, makes a really pretty look for more casual occasions.

My hair is pretty long. I find the easiest way to put it in a bun is to put it into a ponytail, braid it, then wrap the braid around, like a bun. It stays well and looks really cool, like a basketweave.

pull your hair into a pony tail with an elastic rubber band right in the middle of the back of you head. then take the part thats hanging down and wrap it aroung the base of the pony tail. then you just put another rubber band around that, but you have to make shure its on there good so oit dont fall out. you also may want to add a bit of hair spray.

I wear my hair in a bun quite a bit, it is very easy to do and does not take long at all. It seems easier if your hair is wet. All you do is pull it up as if you were going to put it in a pony tail then twist it around and wrap it in a ball or bun, use bobby pins to secure it and you're done. Just try it a few times and you will see...yes even you can do it! Good luck!!
