No. You must have it professionally thinned out, then straighten with a hot iron carefully from root to end. If your hair is wavy or curly on top of the thickness, you will probably want to cut some layers in it to make it not seem so heavy.

It wont make it thinner but you can go to the hair dressers and ask them to thin out your hair, they cut it a special way so it's not as thick, and more of the way you want it

Not really.....but I want you to remember something....if and when you get your hair thinned .....thinning hair is for people who are loosing their hair and little old ladies who have just thinning hair from age....the process of thinning hair is to give the illusion of more hair.....the last thing a thick haired person wants is to look like bozo! Some day you will appreciate your thick hair....look for hair styles that you can handle and won't make you feel like you have a blanket on your head. Layers is a good place to start. Layers that you can still pull back in a pony or wear up off of your neck.
