How should I have my hair for prom?

I have an oval shaped face, and medium-long hair. I'm not really bothered like whether its up or down just want some thing to suit my face shape ( i always have my hair straight and down for school).

Avoid over-the-top hairdos. They seem like a good idea at the time, but when you're five or six years older you look back and think, "Why, oh why did I ask to look like the Cowardly Lion?"

First, get something elegant and simple. For an oval face, try not to have your hair piled on top of your head (it might make your face look longer). You could try long and wavy/curly if you're usually wearing it straight. Think beachy, just-woke-up waves, not perfect spiral curls.

If you want your hair up, I'd try a French twist or a bun. Maybe try parting your hair on the side or on the diagonal with the waves. If your face is truly an oval, try adding width with your hairstyle, not height.
